Adduci, Mastriani & Schaumberg LLP

Firm Profile

For 30 years, Adduci, Mastriani & Schaumberg, L.L.P. has provided thorough, expert counsel to meet clients' unique legal needs in international trade, customs, intellectual property and federal court litigation and appeals.

We listen to clients, offer realistic legal evaluations and together develop strategies and solutions that advance their business requirements within budget. We also work closely with collaborating law firms to provide the maximum level of expertise available. Consequently, our practice continues to grow through referrals and additional work from existing clients.

Small teams of experienced partners and associates work closely with clients to give exceptional personal attention. Partners are involved with every case, personally and promptly responding to client inquiries and continually apprising them of important developments. Our support staff is highly experienced and ensures that clients receive immediate, quality service. We have developed an impressive record of resolving cases efficiently and cost-effectively.

We offer advantages to our clients in three primary areas:

Our in-depth government experience allows us to pursue clients' legal actions effectively and quickly before federal regulatory agencies.

The principal government agencies and tribunals with which we work are: the U.S. International Trade Commission, the U.S. Department of Commerce, the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative, the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office and U.S. Customs and Border Protection.

Many of our attorneys have worked as legal counsel, examiners or advisors to one or more of these government agencies. We maintain good working relations with these offices. Our attorneys' extensive, specialized experience in litigating import-related intellectual property, antidumping, countervailing duty and customs cases enables us to handle clients' international trade concerns rapidly and accurately. We are equally competent in the fields of intellectual property prosecution and protection and federal litigation.

Because our firm is known for the quality of its legal expertise and the results achieved for clients, we are asked frequently to speak at seminars and workshops, not only in the United States, but worldwide. We also regularly contribute articles to highly regarded journals and other publications. Through these professional activities we maintain and enhance our legal expertise which, in turn, benefits our clients.

Clients have immediate access to key staff and resources in the federal regulatory agencies.

Our attorneys know the legal process and the decision-making offices at federal agencies. We thoroughly understand their unique procedures and requirements. Therefore, our clients do not pay for our lawyers to learn at their expense. Our Washington, D.C. location allows our attorneys to maintain good working relations and to meet as needed with important agency staff to direct the information required to represent our clients most effectively.

In addition to legal counsel, our clients can receive services from our vast network of experts and contacts.

Our close relationships with prominent economic and legislative consultants, accounting firms and allied professionals offer our clients additional business and legal support. Through the foreign language capabilities and international connections of our attorneys, we help clients develop business relationships, commercial investments and transactions worldwide. We also maintain relations with correspondent law firms in many foreign nations.
